Increased chassis stiffness.

Fitted with extended subframe bolts

SME designed this reinforcement bar to be the lightest and strongest on the market. Unlike its competitors, it genuinely reinforces the floor in connection with the rear subframe, which remains the best-known weak point of the E46.

Precision-made from Chromoly steel, this bar weighs only 3kg and is simple to fit = just drill using the supplied template, install the extended subframe bolts and it's done.

The bar / floor / subframe sandwich mounting is unmatched and delivers on its promises.

Does not require removal of the rear axle.

Available in the standard RAL colour of your choice.

Mike's tip: "I looked for a solution right after fitting my Safety Devices bar, which didn't satisfy me (being welded to the weakest panels of an E46 didn't reassure me...). In the end, SME's X Brace solution is the essential complement to the welded floor reinforcement: together they give a rear end that inspires confidence and, above all, help stabilise that wretched floor that cracks! And you can even get a nice finish."
