During long track sessions, or spirited drives on back roads, have you ever seen the oil temperature needle climb quickly? seen a message on the on-board computer?

The S55 is known for overheating its oil under intensive use, and even more so if you run a fairly aggressive tune.

In addition, the factory-specified oil is also a little marginal for these stresses.

the solution is to optimise the cooling of your fluid with an upsized, well-exposed cooler. no bodging or approximate fitting.

This D088 cooler is an important ally in avoiding the experience of driving without power steering. If you have a limited budget, start with this one. It will limit heat build-up during hard pushes or in high temperatures.
