Brake Cooling Kit BMW M2 N55 F87
Whether in normal driving, spirited driving or on track, there's no need to dwell on the bicycle-like brakes fitted to stock ///M cars. After a few hard stops the bite fades, or the pedal even goes to the floor.
Fitting big brakes will push the limits, but you soon start wondering " how do I get brakes that last?" When you watch pro drivers lapping for hours, it seems out of reach. But looking closely at how race brakes are designed, while discs, pads and calipers are now available to the public, the main difference lies in cooling and thermal management.
Once properly cooled, pads and discs operate at a lower temperature, greatly reducing wear and maintaining their performance lap after lap.
This complete kit is therefore the essential complement to original or aftermarket brakes. It uses the original air intakes to channel air from the bumper, through the original duct and via the wheel arches to the final backing plate.
Drawing on our track experience, this is the kit that suits all forms of performance driving.
We have also designed a version for large intercoolers, at the same price.
Advantages:
- Uses the original aerodynamics and ducts
- Installation with minimal effort and modification
- Air delivered to the centre of the disc
- Protects bearings and ball joints from heat
- Powder-coated aluminium hub plate
- Direct replacement for the original part
IMPORTANT: requires removing the bumper to fit the scoops.
Kit contents:
- 1x left air inlet
- 1x right air inlet
- 1x left air guide plate
- 1x right air guide plate
- 1x ducting hose
- 4x hose clamps
Mike's tip:
"After adding 60mm ducting hoses to the big Alcon brakes on my M3 E46, I could do 35min sessions at the Bugatti circuit or at Spa, and it wasn't the car that gave up but the driver! It's sometimes complicated, but it's worth it"
