INTRAX is a Dutch manufacturer of high-quality suspension, with almost 50 years of intensive experience at the highest level of several motorsport disciplines.

The INTRAX damper is a « high-end » coilover-type damper for demanding road and competition use.

It is adjustable for ride height and damping.

It is modular and, with the exception of the piston rod, it is made entirely of high-quality anodised aluminium, for a 30% weight saving compared with a steel damper.

=> with the exception of the basic 1K2, all our configurations are supplied as coilovers at all 4 corners( as opposed to separate springs at the rear)

Made to measure:

All dampers made by Intrax are made to measure. This means the dampers are only manufactured once the car's specific data (tyre type, use of the car, any car settings, etc.) and the driver's wishes are known. Based on this data, the engineers calculate/design the ideal damper, which is then manufactured.

Thermostat

The INTRAX damper is fitted with an internal thermostat. The thermostat keeps damping constant at different temperatures. This means that damping and handling remain exactly the same at different operating and ambient temperatures. The aluminium construction adds to this for optimal cooling.

Robustness

The INTRAX damper body is made from high-quality aluminium. This guarantees low weight with maximum strength.

When designing the damper, the largest possible diameter is chosen for even more precise damping control; this is usually a 52 mm body with a 46 mm piston instead of a thin piston rod mounted to the chassis. This higher stiffness translates into better handling and more direct steering response.

All INTRAX dampers are fully rebuildable, without exception, and the high availability of parts ensures servicing that keeps your car off the road for as little time as possible

1K2 and 2K2 adjustable damping

Thanks to the larger piston diameter of the 1K2, adjustment can be even more precise. Unlike many competitors, Intrax has deliberately opted for a single knob for damping adjustment. This single knob adjusts compression and rebound simultaneously, in the appropriate pre-programmed ratio.

4-way adjustable damping:

The 4-Way damper is Intrax's top-rated product. Damping can be adjusted separately for low-speed and high-speed compression and for rebound (also called extension).

You can also adjust the total compression range. The complete system consists of more than 115 high-precision parts. Given the nature of this type of product, we will help you determine the right settings.

External reservoirs:

• The 1K2 is not fitted with external reservoirs; the ARC option adds reservoirs at the front ( and on request front + rear = contact us ) .
• The 2K2 is a 1K2 fitted as standard with external reservoirs and top mounts; the ARC option can be added or not, and you can even request separate rebound / compression adjustment as an option (contact us)
• The 4-way comes as standard with external reservoirs, top mounts and 4 separate adjustment ways.

OPTIONS:

ARC® (Anti Roll Control)

Because ARC® can tell the difference between normal bumps and cornering movements, and even between different types of bumps, damping increases immediately in the event of heavy bumps or roll or pitch movements, preventing bottoming out and reducing body movement.

ARC® is a system that interprets the damper's shaft speed in an intelligent mechanical-hydraulic way and can differentiate its response to the various suspension inputs.

The ARC® system was designed to allow the use of softer springs without compromising vehicle stability (roll, pitch, body squat).

It offers better grip, traction, reduced tyre wear and improved handling. Initially developed for the road, it has also proven excellent on track, reducing the compromise between the two.

In short, ARC® provides a good compromise between comfort and performance, on both road and track. A 1K2 system with ARC has nothing to envy a 2K2 system without ARC.

Black Titan

Black Titan is a development derived from military aviation. The aim was to develop a metal treatment that would make the surfaces of jet engine parts more resistant to the various harsh conditions these engines are exposed to.

The result was what we now call Black Titan: an extremely hard, very low-friction coating that protects against corrosion.

Black Titan makes treated components highly resistant to corrosion and to damage caused by road dirt, and friction is considerably reduced, which improves not only the operation and responsiveness of the dampers but also their durability.

Adjustable top mounts

Intrax offers a complete range of fully adjustable top mounts, as well as rigid upper mounts.

They are made from the best materials. The bearing is enclosed in a stainless steel bearing housing. The 15 mm thick aluminium top plate is made from aerospace-grade anodised 7075 aluminium. The precision bearing has a diameter of 16 or 20 mm. Buying the top mounts is not mandatory with Intrax dampers, as you may have a specific requirement or simply already have quality top mounts. In that case, just a set of adapter sleeves will be needed.
