Preparing a Porsche 911 GT3 991 for the track

The 991 GT3 is built for the circuit, but regular trackday use quickly highlights two issues: brake wear and endurance, and the geometry adjustment range needed to exploit semi-slick tyres.

1. Geometry: Porsche Motorsport parts

The Porsche Motorsport front top mounts increase the camber and caster range, and the Porsche Motorsport toe arms allow fine adjustment of the rear axle.

2. Braking

Pagid RSL1, RSL29 or Endless ME20 pads, Goodridge brake lines and Motul RBF fluid. To limit the cost of stock discs: PFC V3 discs, Girodisc rotors or the Essex / AP Racing PRO5000R kit. Aerodisc Gold Leaf completes the cooling.

3. Tyres and cabin

The Vitour P1 Tempesta lets you drive often at a controlled cost, and the seat tilt spacers improve the driving position when wearing a helmet. Unsure about the order of steps? Get in touch.
