Preparing a Porsche Cayman GT4 981 for the track

The mid-mounted, naturally aspirated flat-six and the manual gearbox make the GT4 981 a remarkable track car straight from the factory. Preparing it is mainly about opening up the geometry adjustment range, making the brakes reliable and tailoring the damping.

1. Geometry: the Omega pack

The GT4 981 Omega pack combines Porsche Motorsport components and Millway precision shims: front top mounts with increased camber and caster and adjustable toe arms, completed by the eccentric rear top mounts.

2. Damping: TracTive

Team Lupos is the exclusive Tractive distributor. TracTive electronically controlled coilovers replace the stock dampers plug & play. The full range is on the Tractive page.

3. Braking

Pagid RSL1, RSL29, Endless ME20 or Ferodo DS2500 pads, PFC V3 or Girodisc rotors, and the Essex / AP Racing PRO5000R kit.

4. Engine, tyres and equipment
