XL Power Steering Reservoir BMW M3 E92

Replace the dirty, overflowing and leaking original BMW power steering expansion tank with a beautiful hand-welded aluminium reservoir.

The problem:

The E92 is known for power steering fluid overflowing, which sometimes ends in a nice cloud of white smoke when the oil reaches the manifolds!

Beyond the mess in the engine bay, the fluid boiling clogs the hoses and promotes cavitation in the power steering pump... and these bubbles are drawn back in. In the end, the pump draws in more air than fluid, gets damaged and eventually dies, taking the steering rack with it because of the metal shavings created.

Our solution:

Together with ARP exhaust, we devised and designed a reservoir with triple the capacity = going from the original 250ml to over 700ml.

The use of aluminium for better cooling and the addition of baffles to limit bubbles being drawn back in further increase its performance.

Better thermal capacity, a larger volume and better performance will extend the life of your steering rack and power steering pump.
