On M cars since the E9x, and by extension on the G8x, the chassis's stability in corners, or its ability to slide on demand, is directly linked to the rear toe settings. The part that determines this is the toe arm.

As standard, the F8x arm has spherical bearings at both ends, unlike the rest of the range – a very good intention on the part of Munich HQ – but the adjustment ranges are limited, and as soon as you want to go beyond road use you hit those limits. Switching to an adjustable arm is the only solution.
