Front charge cooler radiator (intercooler) for M2C, M2CS, M3, M4 F8x - S55 engine

The S55 turbo engine uses a top-mounted water-cooled intercooler instead of a « normal » air-cooled intercooler. The coolant in this system has its own separate cooling circuit, combining two radiators (M3 M4) connected in parallel and a pump. The larger of these two radiators connected in parallel is positioned at the front of the central cooling module (M2 M3 M4), while the second, smaller one is located at the front of the right-hand wing (M3 M4 only).

Reducing the water temperature in this circuit is directly linked to better cooling of the turbocharged air (lower intake temperature). For this reason, it is important to have high-performance radiators in this system to keep the intake temperature as low and stable as possible during hard driving. Throughout all the tests we carried out while developing the entire BMW F8X M2C/M3/M4 product range, we clearly see how peak power is directly linked to intake temperature (IAT - Intake Air Temperature).

Designed and made in Sweden by DO88, fits in place of the original.
