Millway Differential Raise Kit BMW M2 F87
Complete differential (or limited-slip differential) raise kit for BMW M2 ( including M2 Competition and M2 CS) F87 generation
One of the known problems with F8x track cars is that when the car is significantly lowered, leaks at the shaft seal tend to increase, and the differential cooling fins tend to get damaged under compression or when you put a kerb under the middle of the car. These problems also apply even if you only use the car on the street,
The solution is to raise the differential using an anodised aluminium kit and a set of bushings, along with a pair of eccentric mounts.
The Millway design team chose a mounting that is not rigid but still street-oriented, to preserve comfort.
As an option, you can get the tool that allows the subframe-side bushing to be pressed in
Advantages:
- Raises the differential by 10mm
- Better aligns the driveshafts on lowered cars
- Adds a 4th mounting point to the differential to limit its movement
- Protects the differential housing
- Retains a degree of freedom and is not fully rigid-mounted
- No increase in vibration or noise thanks to the bushing
Contents:
- Rear differential mount (replaces the single-point mount)
- 2 eccentric aluminium bushings for the front mount
- handbrake cable routing
- Reinforced fasteners
Options:
- 2nd bushings, M4 GTS type
- 2 rigid bushings for the most intensive use
A little tip from Team Lupos:
"When you run slicks or very high-performance semi-slicks, a huge amount of stress is transmitted to the driveshafts, and the splines in the hub can twist... which means replacing the driveshaft, the hub carrier and the hub!! So before breaking everything, think prevention! ... and as a bonus, traction feels sharper."
