Rear Brake Cooling BMW M2 F87
Whether in normal driving, spirited driving or on track, there is no need to dwell on the bicycle brakes fitted to ///M cars from the factory. After a few hard stops the bite fades away, or the pedal even goes to the floor.
Fitting big brakes will push the limits, but you soon start asking yourself " how do I get brakes with endurance?" when you see pro drivers lapping for hours it seems out of reach. But looking closely at how competition brakes are designed, while discs, pads and calipers are now available to the public, the main difference comes from cooling and thermal management.
Once properly cooled, pads and discs operate at a lower temperature, greatly reducing their wear, and retain their performance lap after lap.
This scoop kit is inspired by the solutions used by Porsche on the GT3. It uses the aerodynamic airflow under the car to channel air to the rear discs.
This is the speciality of Speed Engineering, who designed this kit and manufacture it at a competitive price using the latest production technologies, also proven in competition.
The overly exposed first-generation designs have been dropped in favour of carbon-Kevlar versions.
Advantages:
- Uses the original aerodynamics
- Installation with minimal effort and modification
- Airflow that benefits cooling
- Direct replacement with no modifications
