Millway Rear Subframe-Side Spherical Bearings BMW M2 G87
With age, rubber bushes crack and allow the suspension assemblies to move during dynamic driving. This gives a feeling of instability, even under braking.
A common practice is simply replacing the rubber or the arm, but this does not correct the compliance of the flexible part.
It is an improvement, and while it may meet the needs of spirited road driving, track driving will quickly get the better of it.
The solution is to switch to an eccentric spherical bearing part. The solution, designed and manufactured by Millway in Sweden, provides durability and stable geometry thanks to the Millway team's well-considered choices:
- Lightweight, strong materials (clear-anodised 7075-T6 aerospace aluminium)
- Durable motorsport-type spherical bearings
- Compatible with all M2 versions
- Rubber bush eliminated: more precision and stability
- Fits on the subframe side
Price per pair,
Fitted with a press or with spherical bearing installation sleeves.
Team Lupos's view:
We are often asked whether fitting spherical bearings will make the car unbearable to live with. In reality, from the E9X through to the G8x, these cars were designed to run on run-flat tyres, the worst for comfort; switching to normal tyres + spherical bearings is equivalent in terms of ride comfort. But limiting unwanted movement by removing the rubber bushes brings a significant gain... even an essential one when running slicks.
