Millway Rear Eccentric Spherical Bearings BMW M135i M140i F2x
When driving a lowered car, the car's roll centre is altered, increasing the lever arm between it and the centre of gravity. This loads the suspension unnecessarily (see image 2).
The solution is to switch to an eccentric spherical-bearing part. The solution designed and manufactured by Millway in Sweden provides durability and stable geometry thanks to the Millway team's well-considered choices:
- Light, strong material (clear-anodised 7075-T6 aerospace aluminium )
- Durable motorsport-type spherical bearings
- Compatible with M135i M140i F20 F21
- Fitted to the wheel carrier at the end of the main arm
Price per pair.
Fitting with a press or with spherical bearing installation sleeves.
Team Lupos' view:
"We're often asked whether fitting spherical bearings will make the car unbearable. In reality, from the E9X through to the F8x, these cars are designed to run on run-flats, the worst for comfort. Running normal tyres + switching to spherical bearings is equivalent in terms of ride comfort. But limiting unwanted movement by removing the bushings brings a major gain... even an essential one when running slicks."
