Preparing a BMW M3 E92 / E90 for the track

The naturally aspirated S65 V8, the chassis balance and the sound make the M3 E92 a highly sought-after track base. Its stock limitations are well known: brakes that struggle with repeated sessions, bushings that allow too much unwanted movement, and temperatures that need watching during long sessions.

1. Braking

This is the first job on an E92, detailed in our article Which brakes for the BMW M3 E92?. Depending on budget: Pagid RSL1 or Ferodo pads, Goodridge brake lines, cooling plates and brake cooling ducts, Girodisc rotors, all the way up to the AP Racing PRO5000R kit or the Brembo Pista kit.

2. Chassis: spherical bearings and damping
