Preparing a BMW M3 G80 / M4 G82 for the track
With its S58 and very stiff chassis, the G80/G82 is an M3/M4 that is already highly refined straight from the factory. On track, its limits mainly show in three areas: thermal management, suspension adjustment range and braking endurance. Mind the drivetrain: several parts exist in both RWD and xDrive versions, so check compatibility on each product page.
1. Engine and gearbox cooling
During long sessions, oil temperatures rise quickly. DO88 offers an engine oil cooler, a gearbox cooler and side-mounted charge coolers, complemented by the Y charge pipe.
2. Chassis and drivetrain
Millway covers the essentials of the running gear: adjustable top mounts, adjustable toe arms and camber arms, and spherical bearings to replace the bushings. On the drivetrain side, MMX offers a reinforced differential mount, a modular differential raise kit and an XL differential cover. For damping: TracTive electronically controlled coilovers, KW Clubsport V4 or INTRAX.
3. Braking
Endless ME20 or MX72 pads, a brake cooling kit and, for intensive use, Girodisc floating rotors.
4. Wheels and maintenance
